What is gestational diabetes?
It's a type of diabetes during pregnancy. It does not mean you are "unhealthy", "unfit", or "overweight". Simply just means that your body needs a little extra assistance through this large change you are going through and that's okay! It isn't as bad as the doctors make it seem!
How can I manage it?
Follow a balanced meal plan and monitor blood sugar, that's what everyone will say. Honestly you can still eat a lot of the things you love! Just need to focus on protein to carb ratio, balanced snack plates were my best friend :)
What are some baby outfit ideas?
Consider cute onesies, soft fabrics, and seasonal styles. But at the end of the day as long as your baby is comfortable and clean, it shouldn't matter.
Join local mom groups or online communities, such as this one. Everyone will have something to say that is different from what the last person told you. The best thing I did for me and my family was research on my own and do things the way way I thought was best, not what some Tik Tok mom was doing (though those are helpful sometimes!) It's easy to compare yourself to people online. For your mental health, try not to.

What is mommy care?
It's about prioritizing your wellness and self-care. If you aren't okay, your baby will feel it. It is crucial to try to do AT LEAST one thing for yourself a day. It can be as little as looking out the window and thinking about how beautiful the scene is to doing a workout! Just do something that separates you from being a mom and gives her mind a little ease. As a SAHM this was something I struggled with for so long and wish I got a grip on sooner.
